I recently got one case in my team that makes huge impact to the rest of the team, because rest of the team feel bad for this person and tried to help without any result.
My first approach was give all support and try to dedicate more time compared to rest of the team. But at the end we look for more autonomy rather than dictate what you need to do. So I change my approach to be clear about the performance we expect and his current work, in order to give visibility and he can understand the impact.
