We had a very fruitful discussion some months ago, summarized here (in Spanish): https://pinchito.es/2022/quien-lleva-roadmap-producto. In a nutshell: builders must know what they are building, and why. Most product people should be embedded in squads, just like devs, sysadmins or QAs; and they should be under the same management structure as the rest. Having separate structures for technology and product leads to the inevitable divide we often see in product companies. And, at least in technology companies, engineering must set the way forward. Therefore: CTPO.
Hi!
My name is Geronimo Di Pierro, currently working as Fractional CTO and mentor with Lidr. Last four years I've working as CTO at startup called Dive.tech building products based in computer vision with deep learning to extract metrics from the physical stores and shopping malls.
Happy to connect with other CTOs and managers to share experiences, ideas and challenges.
for sure, we receive many contacts, but when you try to find someone expert in some process, DEV, OPS, QA...normally this person is not searching offers, they "wait" until some headhunter finds him. At least in my experience... 🙂
There's the FARM stack around fastapi that's quite recent, but fastapi's popularity is growing fast. It's mostly like the MERN stack but pythonic and async.
